Genghis Khan Occupies The Tech Museum
This beautiful black painted script on red is Genghis Khan's name (pronounced Chingis) written in Mongolian. I have learned so much about Mongolian culture since this exhibit opened. The decor of this ger, a traditional Mongolian dwelling often called a yert, inspired the decoration of my bedroom.
In the 12th & 13th centuries, Shamanism was the major spiritual practice of Mongolia.

The Lord blesses me always. Soaking up sunshine at Castle Rock State Park in the Saratoga Gap off Skyline Boulevard. Sunday, September 27, 2009 was the first of many regular Sunday hikes with my hiking buddy Maureen (she's from Philly!).
